A Paris Walk and Afternoon in Montmartre

The last time I was in Paris was in 1999 when film photography still ruled, so for years and years I would talk about the charms of the city but have no digital pictures to show! The Paris-to-Normandy river cruise was the perfect opportunity to visit again and come back with photos and fresh perspectives for you.

This photo essay is just a brief peek, but in past trips I visited museums and grand palaces and walked miles and miles of parks filled with majestic monuments, so I can certainly be your guide to planning a longer stay and getting all the best experiences.

We began the day with a bus ride to the Louvre museum, then a walking tour past Notre Dame to the scenic Latin Quarter. The morning started off looking like it would rain, and some of these shots were taken from a bus window so the quality isn’t that great — but you’ll get a feel of what a day in Paris can be like…
